On June 11 (2016) we went to Røros World Heritage site for a field trip, to learn about the traditional and contemporary solutions of conservation in this former mining town up in the Norwegian mountains. We went in and up the church, to the museum for a lecture and the exhibitions, to the conservation centre for looking at and discussing all the local wood works and craftsmanship, and we finished with a tour through the town by the local conservation officer. All in all, a fascinating landscape, good discussions, and a wonderfully warm and sunny day!
On June 12, we went to the former mining site, to have a more complete image of the cultural landscape of Røros. And we were treated to a herd of Reindeer!
